Dog Walking

We offer solo and small group dog walks in Surrey and Hampshire. Areas covered include Hindhead, Churt, Grayshott and parts of Haslemere. Libby has over 8 years of experience walking dogs of all sizes and ages. Libby is good with nervous dogs and prides herself on her patience with dogs who need a little bit of time to warm up to new humans. Although we love to let dogs off the lead, we always put safety first, so any dogs going off lead on walks will need a proven strong recall.

Short home visits of 15 to 30 minutes are ideal if you need small pets and cats fed, need more frequent toilet breaks for young or older dogs or need evening care outside of walking hours. We can also do longer visits on request. Although spaces will be limited so please enquire as soon as possible.

Housesitting

We will come and stay in your home while you're away to keep the pets in their own routine. This includes walking dogs who request exercise and giving pets unlimited cuddles! We also try and provide many photo updates of your dogs and cats while you are away for extra peace of mind.

**Please note our housesitting spots book up months in advance. So please enquire as soon as possible to avoid being disapointed.

quotes

“Libby looked after our boxer for 8 years, from when she was a tiny 8-week-old puppy right through into her old age. She walked her weekly and also stayed in our home to dog-sit during holidays. Our dog absolutely adored Libby and was always beyond excited to see her. Libby always sent wonderful updates and photos and treated our dog as if she were her own.”

About

Hi, I’m Libby! I'm the founder of Elsie’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. The name "Elsie's' comes from my initials 'L' and 'C' combined. I’m a full-time, fully insured dog walker and pet sitter covering parts of Surrey and HampshireAs a life-long animal lover, I have years of experience caring for dogs and pets of all ages, personalities, and needs, including anxious and reactive dogs.

After adopting a reactive Romanian rescue dog 7 years ago, I worked tirelessly to help her integrate into her new life and work through her anxieties. I found myself being asked by other pet guardians in the area to help with their nervous and anxious pups. Over the years, I have bettered my knowledge and created this business to offer safe, structured, and enriching care that pet parents can rely on.

Whether it’s a focused solo walk, careful group pairing, or looking after your pets in your home, you can expect attentive handling, clear communication, and genuine care.

Pets get more than just exercise or feeding. They get company, care, and engagement. And you get peace of mind knowing their animals and homes are in trusted hands. I strive to provide regular updates and photos so you can fully relax when you leave your pet for work or go on holiday. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and routine always come first.

Why Elsie's?

Our prices reflect years of experience working with animals. Libby is canine first aid trained, fully insured with £5 million public liability and comprehensive animal care cover, and always strives to provide top quality care for your pets.

We offer solo and small group walks to allow us to adapt each walk to the dog’s needs and preferences. Libby specialises in working with nervous and anxious dogs, helping them feel confident and safe on every walk. There truly is no better feeling than seeing a dog come out of their shell and embrace their walks and explore their surroundings while learning to trust someone new. We will only pair dogs together when we feel it will enhance their experience.

Of course, the dog’s safety and experience are key. But we also ensure to always keep you in the loop and offer pet parents regular updates, as we understand that peace of mind is priceless when it comes to trusting someone else with your loved furry family members.

Libby’s car is also fitted with TransK9 dog crates in the boot so you know your dogs are as safe as possible when being transported from home to their walk. These crates were a huge investment costing over £800. But well worth it to know that if we did get in an accident on the road any dogs that would have been in the crumple zone of the boot will be protected in the crash tested dog crates.

quotes

When it comes to getting extra help with looking after Poppy, my German Shepherd/Border Collie cross, Libby has been a Godsend on numerous occasions, sometimes at short notice. If I am out for too long, Libby is always reliable in visiting Poppy for feeding, giving her medication, providing company, and occasionally short walks. Libby clearly loves dogs, and I have witnessed her being very good with all types & behaviours when we bump into her on a walk. I can highly recommend her.
